News: Recently, PM Modi inaugurated the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) campus in Bengaluru, and the launch of the Boeing Sukanya Program to promote the entry of girls into India’s aviation sector.

About:
• The Boeing Sukanya Program is an initiative launched by Boeing in India with the aim to support the entry of more girl children from across India into the country’s growing aviation sector.
• It aims to break barriers, inspire women to pursue careers in aerospace, and create an environment where they can excel with dedicated training facilities, curriculum, flight simulators, scholarships, and career opportunities.

Key Features:
• STEM Labs: The program will establish STEM Labs at 150 planned locations across India to help spark interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers.
• Scholarships: It will provide scholarships to women who are training to be pilots.
• Support for Flight Training: The program will support flight training curriculum, obtaining certifications, funding for simulator training, and career development programs.
• Career Coaching: Many government schools will be able to access career coaching for their students who aspire to become pilots.
