The role of UPSC ends with the declaration of results of the Civil Services Examination.
After declaration, it becomes the responsibility of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to train the IAS or IPS Probationers.
To serve the purpose, the selected candidates are invited to join the foundation training at Lal Bahadur Shashtri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) located at Massourie. During the training of both IAS and IPS, the probationers are trained for every possible situation that may arise in their career while serving in the field. After completing the training, the probationers become the officers.
