About:
• Operation 1027 was launched by the Three Brotherhood Alliance, a military coalition composed of three ethnic armed organizations in Myanmar: the Arakan Army (AA), Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA).
• The operation is directed against the State Administration Council, the military junta currently ruling Myanmar.
• The primary objectives of Operation 1027 are to safeguard the lives of civilians, assert their right to selfdefense, maintain control over their territory, respond resolutely to ongoing artillery attacks and airstrikes perpetrated by the State Administration Council, and eradicate the oppressive military rule. The operation was launched in response to the perceived injustices and oppressive actions of the military junta.
