Exercise Cyclone
News: The 2nd edition of Exercise ‘Cyclone’ is being conducted at Anshas, Egypt from 22nd January to 1st February 2024. The first edition of the exercise was conducted last year in India.
About:
• Exercise ‘Cyclone’ is a joint training exercise between the armies of India and Egypt. The primary objective of this exercise is to strengthen the bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries, promoting the sharing of professional skills and improving interoperability between their special forces.
• The aim of the Exercise is to acquaint both the sides with each other’s operating procedures in the backdrop of Special Operations in desert/semi-desert terrain under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
• Exercise ‘Cyclone’ is designed to develop bilateral military cooperation and strengthen the bond between the two armies through the conduct of discussions and rehearsal of tactical military drills.
