Context: Recently, the Indian Army initiated the deployment of Akash Teer Command and Control Systems as part of  Project Akashdeep to strengthen its air defense capabilities.

About the Akashteer Command and Control Systems:
• Developed by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) as part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat initiative.
• Represents a state-of-the-art initiative aimed at automating air defense control and reporting processes through full digitization.
• The systems Control Centers, designed to be vehicle-based and mobile, maintain operational capabilities even in challenging communication environments.
• Designed to monitor low-level airspace in Indian Army battle areas and effectively control Ground Based Air Defense Weapon Systems.
• By integrating radar and communication systems into a unified network at all levels, Akashteer aims to provide unprecedented situational awareness and control.

• Project Akashdeep:
• An automated air defense control and reporting system similar to the Indian Air Forces setup.
• Focuses on creating a comprehensive air defense picture through digitization, enabling monitoring, tracking, and engagement of air defense assets
