News: The Indian Army has recently established the “Signals Technology Evaluation and Adaptation Group” (STEAG).

 
What is STEAG?
 The Signals Technology Evaluation and Adaptation Group (STEAG) is a pioneering unit established by the Indian Army. Its primary focus is on researching and evaluating cutting-edge communication technologies that are crucial for future warfare scenarios. 
 Mission and objective: STEAG aims to identify and implement the most suitable technologies to enhance the army’s communication infrastructure. It operates at the intersection of military requirements and emerging technological advancements.

 STEAG evaluates a wide range of futuristic communication technologies, including:
 AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning for intelligent decision-making.
 Software-defined radios for flexible and efficient communication.

 5G and 6G networks for high-speed data transmission.
