News: The river is in news because of recent incident that happened on Kakhovka Dam which is built on the river.
About:
The Dnipro (Dnieper) river is one of the major transboundary rivers of Europe, rising in the Valdai Hills near Smolensk, Russia, before flowing through Belarus and Ukraine to the Black Sea.
It is the longest river of Ukraine and Belaru and the fourth-longest river in Europe, after the Volga, Danube, and Ural rivers.
It has many tributaries, such as the Sozh, Desna, Pripyat, Ros, Psel, Vorskla, Samara, Konka and Bilozerka river. (Just for information, no need to remember these names)
It is an important navigable waterway for the economy of Ukraine and is connected by the Dnieper–Bug Canal to other waterways in Europe.
