News: The Ayushman Bhav campaign is a comprehensive nationwide healthcare initiative launched by the Union
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India.
About Ayushman Bhav:
The Ayushman Bhav initiative involves a set of interventions that include
• Ayushman - Apke Dwar 3.0 - This ensures the utilization of E-card and availing the health insurance services for the eligible beneficiaries.
• Ayushman Mela - These are ‘One-stop’ platforms to address a comprehensive range of health issues.
• Ayushman Sabha - These involve the distribution of Ayushman cards to eligible beneficiaries.
• Ayushman Gram Panchayat/Urban Ward - This is a novel initiative awarded to a village/ward with 100% coverage of Ayushman card, ABHA ID, screening for NCDs, presumptive TB examination, screening for sickle cell disease and distribution of sickle cell disease cards to the screened individuals.
