About:
Bura Chapori Wildlife Sanctuary is geographically located on the south bank of the Brahmaputra.
It is a part of the LaokhowaBurachapori eco-system and comprises of a mosaic of wet alluvial grassland, riparian and semievergreen forests dotted by wetland and river systems.
The sactuary is home to the Great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, tiger, leopard, wild buffalo, hog deer, wild pig, and elephants.
The bird’s includes the highly endangered Bengal Florican, Blacknecked Stork, Mallard, Open billed Stork, Teal, and Whistling Duck among others.
