Drishti 10 Starliner
News: The Indian Navy has received its first indigenous medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) drone, the Drishti 10 Starliner.
About:
• The Drishti 10 Starliner is an Indian Medium Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) based on the Elbits Hermes 900 platform. It is manufactured by Adani Defence and Aerospace for the Indian Armed Forces.
Key features:
• Endurance: The UAV has an endurance of 36 hours.
• Payload Capacity: It can carry a payload of 450 kg.
• Airspace Clearance: The Drishti 10 Starliner is cleared to fly in both segregated and unsegregated airspace.
• Indigenous Content: This UAV is a home-assembled version of the Hermes-900 MALE UAV, featuring an impressive 70% indigenous content.
• Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Platform: It is an advanced ISR platform.
