No Privatisation of ISRO, Expansion of Space Economy Envisaged

• Indian Space Policy 2023: Provides an overarching framework enabling end-to-end participation of NonGovernment Entities (NGEs) in space activities while keeping ISRO focused on advanced research and development.

 • Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules: Placed the Department of Space directly under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to streamline strategic policy execution. 

• Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution: Mandates a fundamental duty upon every citizen to develop the scientific temper, humanism, and the spirit of inquiry and reform.
