News: KARNAPEX 2024 is a state-level philately exhibition organized by the Karnataka Postal Circle.
About:
• It aims to introduce a whole new generation to philately and its delightful charms. The exhibition will highlight India’s history, culture, art, and heritage across the years through Stamps, Special Covers, Special Cancellations, and Pictorial Collections.
• It also features a competitive section, where winners will get an opportunity to participate in various National Philatelic Exhibitions.
What is Philately?
• Philately is the study of postage stamps and postal history. It also refers to the collection and appreciation of stamps and other philatelic products. This hobby involves collecting and learning about postage stamps.
• Last year, India Post organised AMRITPEX 2023 in New Delhi. It was a National Philatelic Exhibition.
