એરપોર્ટ કોડ
• એરપોર્ટ કોડ વિશ્વભરના એરપોર્ટ માટે અનન્ય ઓળખકર્તા તરીકે સેવા આપે છે . આ કોડ્સ, જેનો ઉપયોગ ટિકિટો અને બોર્ડિંગ પાસથી લઈને એરપોર્ટના વિવિધ ચિહ્નો વગેરે પર થાય છે, તે સરળ અને સીમલેસ મુસાફરીના અનુભવ માટે મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે.
• દરેક એરપોર્ટમાં વાસ્તવમાં બે અનન્ય કોડ હોય છે: એક IATA દ્વારા અને બીજો ઇન્ટરનેશનલ સિવિલ એવિએશન ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશન (ICAO), જે સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્રની શાખા છે .
IATA કોડ્સ (ત્રણ-અંકના કોડ્સ):
• તે 1960 ના દાયકામાં એરપોર્ટ ઓળખને પ્રમાણિત કરવા માટે જારી કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
• પેસેન્જર ઓળખ કામગીરીતેનો ઉપયોગ
• આ ટિકિટ, બોર્ડિંગ પાસ, સાઈનેજ અને અન્ય ઉપભોક્તા-સામગ્રી પર દેખાય છે .
• ઉદાહરણોમાં ઈન્દિરા ગાંધી ઈન્ટરનેશનલ એરપોર્ટ (દિલ્હી) માટે DEL અને છત્રપતિ શિવાજી મહારાજ ઈન્ટરનેશનલ એરપોર્ટ (મુંબઈ) માટે BOMનો સમાવેશ થાય છે .
