Ayurveda Gyan Naipunya Initiative – AGNI

About:
• The Ayurveda Gyan Naipunya Initiative (AGNI) is a program by the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences (CCRAS). The initiative invites Ayurveda practitioners to share their success stories.
• The initiative also aims to undertake research for mainstreaming pragmatic practices through scientific validation and evidence-based appraisal.

About CCRAS:
• The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
• It is an apex body in India for undertaking, coordinating, formulating, developing, and promoting research on scientific lines in Ayurvedic Sciences.
• It is responsible for the supervision of all research activities of the Council, including Medico Botanical Survey, Pharmacognosy, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Ayurveda, and Literary Research.
• The Council publishes periodicals such as the “Journal of Research in Ayurvedic Sciences”, “Journal of Drug Research in Ayurveda Sciences”, and 'Journal of Indian Medical Heritage'.
• CCRAS is also involved in the validation and reliability testing of Ayurvedic diagnostic tools.
